Aeration & Overseed

Core aeration is vital for the health and thickness of your lawn. Core Aeration is where you remove plugs of dirt from your lawn using a special aerator machine. Aerating your lawn allows more water, nutrients, and air to reach the roots of your lawn more fully. It also loosens up the soil, allowing grass roots to grow deeper and further than before. We will often combine this service with “overseeding” where we will spread even more fresh grass seed over your lawn to allow fresh grass to grow in the plugs and other bare areas in your lawn. This service can have powerful affects on the appearance of your lawn!

Optimal time for this service: Fall (early October to mid November)        Next most optimal time is early Spring.

*Speed of seed germination and seedling growth depends upon the weather and proper care. Nature takes its time.

Common questions:

Q: Can I sign up for less than 5 treatments?

A: Certainly! However, the fewer the treatments, the more weeds you’ll find, and the longer it takes to get your lawn looking its best. Results are simply less reliable at less than 5 applications.

Q: How soon should I see results?

A: Weed Control: you should begin to see results of weeds dying with 3-5 days.

Lawn Fertilization: We use slow release fertilizers. you should start seeing results within 3-8 weeks.

Aerating & Overseeding: Grass seeds take time to reach full maturity. True results can be seen within 2-4 months.

Q: Do I need to be home during service?

A: Not at all! Most of our clients aren’t home when we treat their lawn. As long as we have access through gates and any pets are secured, we’ll take care of everything and leave your property looking clean and tidy.
